Antenatal Care

Routine antenatal check-ups by our qualified midwife.

Time: Wednesday 2.00-4.30pm

Mother and Baby

A drop-in clinic for advice and weight checking. Vaccinations for all children up to age 5.

Time: Morpeth NHS Centre – every Tuesday 1.00 – 3.30pm

Morpeth Children’s Centre every Wednesday 9.30 – 11.30am.

Travel Vaccinations

Influenza and Pneumococcal Vaccinations

It is important for all patients over 65 years of age and those with chronic conditions (Asthma, Diabetes, Heart Disease and Respiratory Disease) to have a Flu Vaccination on an annual basis. In addition this group of patients should have a Pneumococcal vaccination. Clinics are run in late October.  We do not routinely send out invitation letters, please contact the surgery in late September or October to arrange for an appointment.

Asthma and COPD

Regular check-ups and advice from practice nurses on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and medication.

Chronic Disease Clinics

These clinics provide structured care for patients diagnosed as being at risk from Coronary Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and Hypertension. Patients will be invited to attend.

Cervical Cytology Screening

Prevention of cervical cancer is only possible with regular checks on all susceptible women. Our Practice Nurse undertakes cervical testing during their normal surgery hours.

Minor Surgery

This service is available by arrangement with your Doctor. A range of procedures is available. These will include small “lumps and bumps”, freezing of warts and verrucae, and joint injections.

Time: Clinics are run on a Monday afternoon. Please contact the surgery for further details.

Private Medical Examinations

The doctors are available to carry out examinations and prepare reports for patients of the practice. These services are outside the scope of the NHS and a fee will therefore be appropriate.
