At Gas House Lane we strive to provide an exemplary service to our patients.
Whilst we aim to provide swift access to appointments with our Doctors and clinical staff, we have found recently that this has been undermined by a significant numbers of patients failing to attend appointments, or not answering their phone when called by the GP.
In July 2022 this amounted to over 24 hours of clinical time.
Which equates to almost 150 appointments.
Sadly, as the year has progressed we have witnessed a disturbing trend emerge as patients don’t attend for appointments at the Surgery. The graph below demonstrates this trend.
Over 600 appointments have been lost this year.
We appreciate that due to unexpected circumstances appointments may be missed, however we would ask that patients call the Surgery to cancel appointments as soon aspossible so that we are able to offer them to patients.
At a time that the NHS continues to experience significant pressures, it is vital that we maximise the time of our Doctors and other clinical staff effectively for the benefit of all of our patients.
